Yesterday was the day that the music video for 'Forget About Me' by Massad was premiered on TV. Massad is an amazing Kiwi singer/songwriter who is still only 18 years old, and making it big in his music career! About 4 months ago, Massad announced a competition that the winners will be in the new music video for 'Forget About Me', so I decided to enter this competition. The rule was to make a video telling him why we want to be in his music video, and we had to make the video creative!
So this was my video entry for the competition!
The winner was going to get a call from Massad himself, telling them that they had won the competition! So I was sitting in front of my computer with my phone right in front of me, so I could pick it up as soon as I got a call. Then it was about 30 minutes past the time that the winners were going to be announced, so I thought that I didn't win. But I still had hope that I was going to get a call from Massad, so I waited about 20 more minutes. Then my phone started to ring, and at that time I was full with excitement! So I answered the phone and all I heard was something like "Hello is this Lisa? The juggling Lisa?" And I just laughed and said "Yes?" And that's when he said "Hi this is Massad" And I already knew that it was Massad calling me, but that was when I actually knew that I was one of the winners of the competition!
This photo of Massad and I was taken before we we're heading out to film the scene that I was in! Filming for the video was such an amazing, fun, and interesting experience! I've always wanted to be in a music video, I've always wanted to do a bit of acting, and I've always wanted to meet Massad! So thanks to Massad I was able to do all of these! It was such an amazing day! I made some new friends too, and I will never forget that day!
So here is the finished video of 'Forget About Me'! I hope you enjoy it! And you should go and 'Like' Massad on his Facebook page at:

Stand by...Action!
Yesterday was a busy day! I got filmed to be in the new Rainbows End TV commercial! Filming started at 9am and we had to be there about an hour early for makeup and costumes, so I had to get up around 5am! Because I take 2 buses and a ferry to get there, and that takes about 2 hours! I wasn't too happy about the early wake up, but once I got on the bus I was able to see the sunrise! I hadn't seen the sunrise in such a long time! And when I got on the ferry it was such a nice view, so it was all worth it!
Once I finally got there, I quickly but carefully put on my makeup! Because I definitely don't want to be on TV with bad makeup! And then we got taken to the place we were getting filmed. There were quite a lot of kids for extras, and their part was just to dance like they were having a party! And of coarse my part was to juggle! First take was pretty good, and I thought that this was easy... until we had to do it all over again and again! Stand by... Action! I wonder how many times I heard that yesterday! The sun was burning and my arms started getting sore, but I survived! It took 5 hours to film just a 30 second TV commercial! And that was only the scenes that the Flaming Phoenix were in, so the rest of the crew still had to film after we had left. I ended up being in 2 scenes, so I'm hoping that I will end up on the TV commercial and be able to see myself on TV! At the end of the day I had so much fun! Because I've always loved getting filmed, and everything about it! All the cameras and lighting and everything are so cool to me! So hopefully we'll be able to see the commercial very soon, and I think the video might get uploaded onto YouTube, so if it does I'll post the link here! And I'm not sure if this scene will make it into the final cut, but here's a sneak peak on what it might look like!

Flaming Phoenix Acrobat Show premiere
Last weekend, I performed at Rainbow's End Theme Park for the first time as part of the Flaming Phoenix Acrobat Show. It went great, and the audience really enjoyed the new show. We had many rehearsals throughout the last month, and we practiced our makeups many times too. At first, it took me over an hour to do my makeup! But now I can do them in about 40 minutes.
After we all finished our makeup, we went backstage and started warming up for the show. To be honest, I didn't get nervous. But I was really excited to start the show!
There were quite a lot of people on the first show, and they were a great audience! They kept clapping and cheering throughout the show!
After the show had finished, the audience were happy and we were all happy with the show too. It all went great! We will be performing every weekends and everyday during the school holidays, two shows a day! So if you're ever at Rainbows End, make sure to check out the Flaming Phoenix Acrobat Show!

Circus Weekend
Yesterday I went to a show called Soap, and it's a circus cabaret show. The theme was about baths and lots of water, it was really cool! One of my favourite acts was the hand balancing act, this guy did a full hand balancing act with a bathtub! It was so cool because he splashed the water everywhere during his act, and all the smoke and lighting effects made the water drops stand out and it looked so awesome! Overall I loved this show because it was so theatrical and it had a lot of choreography, I really enjoyed it.
Today I went to see Cirque Du Soleil's Saltimbanco! It was so AMAZING!! I loved the colourful set and costumes! I was so inspired by this show, and it made me want to join Cirque Du Soleil even more. The acts were really good too, with lots of skills. I was pretty close to the stage so I got to see the performers up close, and I could see their facial expressions while they were performing. So that was a great experience. The story of this show is very good too, and I really love their music for this show. The singers were amazing. One day I hope to join Cirque Du Soleil and travel around the world, but for that I still have a lot of training to do!
